Overview

The Lapse Prevention Banner block allows you to share your best offer with at-risk customers, helping to bring them back before it's too late. This Play uses the Repeat - About To Lapse property to differentiate between your average customers and those at risk of churning.

How It Works

Personalization

The Lapse Prevention Banner requires two flows to determine which customers should see it.

  • “Tag About to Lapse Customers” is triggered by Repeat - About To Lapse and creates a new profile property called “About to Lapse”, where the property value is set to “True”.
  • “Untag About to Lapse Customers” is triggered by Placed Order and creates a new profile property called “About to Lapse”, where the property value is set to “False”.

By default, the block is displayed as a text banner in the email’s header. It uses Show/Hide Logic to only show based on the person|lookup:'About to Lapse' variable. Save this block as a universal content block so it can be added to any campaign or flow in just a few clicks.

Recommendations

To optimize this Play, we recommend the following:

  • Styling the block to match your email branding and customizing the block’s text to match your brand voice
  • A/B testing different block designs and copy to see what drives the most engagement
  • Including this banner in product announcements and content & brand-focused campaigns
