Overview

The Lapse Prevention flow reaches customers who are in danger of never returning again so you can convince them to make another purchase before they’re gone for good. Ask for feedback, include a tempting offer, and add a replenishment block to help them easily repurchase their favorite products.

How It Works

Repeat Cart

This Play sends customers to their personalized Repeat Cart, which will automatically populate with recommendations of products they previously purchased.

Trigger & Timing

This flow is triggered by the Repeat - About to Lapse metric, with a flow filter that removes customers who have since made a purchase. By default, there is no delay between the trigger and the first email. The trigger’s timing is unique to each customer and is based on the products a customer purchased previously, the timing of their previous orders, and historical data about other customers.

Personalization

By default, the flow includes three emails with a delay of three days between each email.

Recommendations

To optimize this Play, we recommend the following:

  • Experimenting with the timing of the emails to see what works best for you and your customers
  • A/B testing different email subject lines, designs, and copy to see what drives the most engagement
  • Including your best offer to incentivize customers to make another purchase, such as a 15% discount
  • Adding a replenishment block to help them easily repurchase their favorite products
