Overview

Use Collections Metadata to Power Cross-Sell Product Prediction Branching, delivering a highly personalized experience for your customers by highlighting collections they’re most likely to purchase from based on past purchases. You can also include a replenishment block so they can easily repurchase their favorite products.

How It Works

Trigger & Timing

This flow is triggered by the Primed for Cross-sell metric, with a trigger split based on the specific collection you want to drive cross-selling for. By default, there is no delay between the trigger and the first email.

Personalization

By default, this flow includes just one email each in the “Yes” and “No” branch, respectively. If there are multiple emails, add a time delay between each. To cross-sell multiple collections within the same flow, create another trigger split under the “No” branch and repeat as needed. If a customer does not fit in any of these segments, finish with a standard product prediction email under the “No” branch.

Once all branches are set up, they're rejoined so that customers receive all relevant cross-sell messaging until they make a purchase. For example, if a customer might be interested in both your Beverages and Food collections, they'll be sent through both branches until they make a purchase.

Recommendations

To optimize this Play, we recommend the following:

  • Experimenting with the timing of the emails to see what works best for you and your customers
  • A/B testing different email subject lines, designs, and copy to see what drives the most engagement
  • Creating multiple branches with trigger splits for different product collections
  • Including a replenishment block so customers can easily reorder previously purchased products
